I just returned yesterday from a Z3R stay at this property and while I intend a more thorough report of the trip, a few things about the property.

The check-in orientation with the GM is a excellent touch. Very much appreciated and very valuable. This is the kind of personal touch that makes you feel appreciated and want to return.

I'll echo the issue with the water temperature in the shower in a suite on the 3rd floor. I reported it in the evening but since I was about to sleep they requested that I report again in the morning. I did so and went out of the day. In the evening, same problem. I reported it and someone from Engineering was sent. They said the problem is that I'm setting the handle to close to the middle. So it fluctuates. If I turn it further to the right or left it will stay hot or cold. I pointed out that if you turn it far to the right or left it will be either cold as ice or really really hot. What appeared to be comprehension, led to the same response about it not being stable in the middle. I should turn it further to the right or left. This made no sense. He played around a bit with some tools. Said there is nothing wrong here in the room, he'd check up top (roof?). Never returned and the water problem persisted.

The second issue I'll echo is the internet. Sometimes it is so slow as to be unusable. I found that LeMeriedien7, while giving me 90% signal, gave 0% internet. LeMerdiein6, giving 13% signal, gave me ok, but not good internet. When asked during checkout how my stay was I said it was great except for the water temperature and internet. Three was no followup question from the woman checking me out so I assume from a language perspective she wasn't really expecting an honest response to her question.

While these two things are negatives, the stay was very positive.

The suite I was upgraded to was really wonderful. The layout of the rooms makes watching TV a bit difficult, but this is always a challenge with this style of suite.

The breakfast seems a bit lackluster but was plentiful. I couldn't place my thumb on what is missing at breakfast. Free breakfasts for Plats always scores points though. I wouldn't have paid for the breakfast. I'd have just grabbed something outside somewhere.

The hotel is not a 'resort' in the sense that the LM Khao Lak or Sheraton Pattaya are resorts but it was nice. A resort is a place I think you'd want to spend lots and lots of time without leaving. I can understand those that think it seems to be built more like a convention hotel. But the pool area was well done, the gym looked great, and the central courtyard is done up nicely.

Getting around was easy with all the remo's sitting across from the hotel. The hotel made a dinner and quad-wheel ATV reservation for me and everything went off like clockwork.

I look forward to returning to Siem Reap and stay here again. I will definitely recommend this hotel to others.
