LAN Questions: CUZ-(LIM)-IQT & CUN-(MEX)-LIM
Two questions for AA flyer soon to be LAN flyer:
1. Trying to book one-way award in Y between CUZ and IQT, changing planes in LIM. AA tells me this is a restricted route on LAN and even though there are various, what would be considered normal, valid connections through LIM, it must be counted as two separate tickets: CUZ-LIM and LIM-IQT. Obviously that doubles the required miles. I don't have enough miles to book it if it in fact must be two separate tickets. (I'll probably do CUZ-PEM instead). Any ideas or workarounds? Why won't LAN ever sell CUZ-IQT??
2. Same trip will be flying same-plane CUN-MEX-LIM overnight flight, LP629. My question is about J service on the CUN-MEX leg. Will there be a full dinner service, thereby allowing us to just sleep on the MEX-LIM portion? Or will there just be a snack then a full dinner MEX-LIM?
