I usually hang out at the UA forum, but have a question that I hope someone here can answer.

Planning a trip in late July to HNL. I am considering using 17000 AA miles for two of the BU1WD01 or AL1WD01 (Budget and Alamo, respectively) 2 week day rental car awards. Some questions:

1. Can I book a reservation as usual on the budget web site and then simply use the two certs to "pay" for the rental, or do I need to talk to a Budget CSR?

2. Can two of these certs even be used for a back-to-back 2 * 2 days rental period? Or would it need to be two separate rentals?

3. When the text of the award on the AA site says "Intermediate through Full Size" does that include convertibles?

4. Are there any hassles to using these (I know they may not be the best value-use of the miles, but that's another issue).
