Two things that would make it better:

(1.) Often when I am transiting, TSA is using the Re-Combobulation site for shift meetings, taking over the table and all the chairs. That sort of eliminates the charm of the Re-Combobulation sign.

(2.) A few of the Milwaukee County Sheriffs and TSA at MKE (a very small minority) lack any sense of composure or humor. Most famously, at FT, the FT'er whose trip was interrupted at MKE when he wrote "Kip Hawley Is an Idiot" on his plastic bag with 3.1 oz liquids in it. Hence, "KPIAI" as shorthand for all that is humorless and stupid about TSA.

Funny that the TSA's evolution of the checkpoint calls them "recomposure" areas (or benches)-- seems like MKE got it right.
