I agree unless you need the lounge access I don't think the platinum card is worth the fee at least for me. Earning potential is better on the PR card and I've yet to use an airport lounge since I only travel a couple times a year. If I were to get a high end card I'd probably get the Delta Reserve card; seems like the MQMs could be nice to have (decent if you fly Delta a lot).
