Any EU country should accept them for travel. If they don't, it's only because they don't know what they are.
But they don't & aren't likely to for the forseeable future, so the only real use for them is to scrape frost off the car in the morning

This is a domestic flight for which photo ID is not legally required. Most airlines do however require a photo ID which could be your driving licence or any one of a number of government issued cards.
Ryanair require a UK passport from a UK citizen for all flights including domestic and don't accept any other form of photo ID
