However my immediate reaction is that it's nowhere near adventurous enough. We'll let the experts give you more specific suggestions, however it seems to me that you can add to your list the following places to look see and try out. Note that most are on Hong Kong island.

- Central, to see the crowds in the business district (Friday only)
- Midlevels, check out the antique dealers on Hollywood Road. Also to take a ride on the Midlevels escalator (easy to get to from Central)
- The Peak - check out the view from the top of Hong Kong island
- A ride on the tram (Hong Kong people call it the 'ding-ding' for reasons that will become clear)
- Stanley, probably overpriced but something of a village feel.
- Wong Tai Sin, big buddhist temple on Kowloon side. There's also the big buddha on Lamma Island but given where you're staying it's easier to get to.
- If you have more time, go to Cheung Chau or one of the other outlying islands for a different feel.

One other thought - this assumes you're a bit adventurous and most of all are not weighed down with tons of check in baggage. You mention that you are taking some sort of hotel shuttle - is the rate HK$130 for all of you traveling or each of you? You might want to consider taking the airport bus to the Tsimshatsui area - it's one of the A buses (it will be a number like A21 or A32 or something like that). It will be cheaper per person, gives you a good view especially if you ride upstairs, will take about 30 or 40 minutes to get to Kowloon and if I guess correctly (you need to confirm this) the drop off stop should be either at the Sheraton or really nearby.

Don't forget our earlier advice on your halal restaurant. Note that if you're observant, there's a big mosque just 10 minutes up Nathan Road (need to cross to other side) from the Sheraton. Have fun and please come back onto this thread to let us know how it all worked out.

Mods - please move this thread to the Hong Kong forum.
Wong Tai Sin is Taoist, not Buddhist - that's important.
The big Buddha is on Lantau, not Lamma - also important.

You have 1 and a half days.

First afternoon, drop bags off, grab lunch, check-in, then have happy hour and then do tacky Ladies/Temple Street market.

Next day, head over to do the "must dos" Star Ferry ride, peak visit, etc.
