You need to have an Investor Checking account with Schwab Bank. Then that bank issues you an ATM card for withdrawals from that checking account, and the withdrawals incur no charges from Schwab Bank, and Schwab bank also reimburses you for any charges by the ATM you use, provided those charges are separately stated on your charge receipt.

Coupled with the 2% Visa which you already have, you'll be all set to travel worldwide and make both ATM and credit card transactions with virtually no ATM or foreign currency fees.

P.S. You've already done the "hard part", as it seems setting up the inital accounts with Schwab is what draws complaints on FT.
