I think I finally have a handle on what I don't like about that font. It reminds me of Air Force One. Why that bothers me, I'm not sure. I do know that I really like the font used on the "tulip" livery though. It gives me a sense of an airline that's going places, not an airline that might stand for a thing or place.

I also do like the UU/tulip, but y'know, it can go away and it's not the end of the world. I realize that sounds dumb; the UU/tulip has much better brand recognition than a font. And it's so easy to change a font down the road that one wonders if it should ever be looked at with much permanence anyway. On the other hand, we've been in business for 30 years, and changing the font of our logo is something that just wouldn't happen. AvantGarde (demibold) is Chain Reaction Bicycles. But then, that's 30 years of the same ownership/management. That probably makes a difference.
