Etihad Gold and Silver renewal cards delay - 1 year validity shock

Finally received my renewed EY gold card, posted 31 March and arriving in UK last week of April. According to the guest call centre the gold and silver cards were only ordered in early March - even though all renewals are done on a calendar year basis and should have been known 1 January. (Some members still have not received their cards apparently.)

Unhappy to find that the gold cards are only renewed for ONE year, and valid to March 2011 only. This is at odds with the guest website which repeatedly mentions the benefit of 2 year validity for new gold members, but says nothing explicity about renewals. Guest call centre says this is an oversight and will be corrected on the web. Also I was told that there is a soft landing to Silver for guests not making 40,000 miles this year (or even 20,000 Silver renewal level). Again hopefully this will be clarified on the website by EY.
