Ha! You should visit NW's worldclubs. This is exaclty what the majority of the domestic ones are like. The average AC is much nicer. Of course, the worldclub has free alcohol and cookies and the new style of clubs, such as DTW is extremely nice with cool touches like fireplaces. IMO, AC clubs are, on average, some of the nicer ones. CO's clubs are also nice, at least the ones I've visited so far. I just don't think, however, that you will find "Ritz Carlton" quality within the US. Nevertheless, depending on where you fly, things may not be so far off (eg. DFW A)
