Yeah, jacking up the rates and quality does sound like a good deal for you.
Anyway, maybe rundown isn't the word; I'm just more unimpressed by their quality. None of the ACs I have visited are like going to Terraces at LHR. Few of the clubs are really nice; a lot of them are more like Holiday Inns dressed up with some knock-off furniture and appointments.
I'd rather pay more and get the Four Seasons/Ritz Carlton experience than pay what I'm paying now for what I get. I'm probably more demanding than most people though.
