Post 2010 April CX841 F Report

Hi. Here are some photos of my flight last week.

(best viewed as "Slideshow", then "Pause" and flip through with "Next")

I wish I had time to post them earlier because I saw some posts asking about the flight.

Summary of the trip:
- Lounge (picture 1-2): Not very eventful. Since the flight was in the morning, only breakfast items were served. Selection was about the same as the Business class's lounge plus salmon and champagne. Area was exclusive but not particularly good looking.
- Boarding: A little chaotic. Since First, Business and Marco Polo members were in the same queue, GR in Y could be boarding ahead of a DM in F. I joined the queue late, so I missed the empty cabin shot.
- Seat (picture 3-5): Got 2A, probably the pick on this forum. Seat was wide and comfortable. Foot traffic was solely flight crew in my flight as no other passenger came into the F cabin or went into the J cabin. The other aisle, as mentioned in the other threads, was shared by the other 4 passengers.
- Origin (picture 7): Queens from the East side. JFK left from the middle of the picture. Manhattan near the horizon.
- Restroom (picture 8): For your reference.
- Bed (picture 9): Made by crew. Didn't have the cramped feeling in J. However, because of the open space it seemed less private than J.
- Menu (picture 10-12): For your reference.
- Wine List (picture 13-14): For your reference.
- Breakfast: Served at the beginning of the flight and was not very eventful. The main difference from J would be the egg, which was made-to-order. The milk for the cereal was quite rich, does anyone know what brand it is?
- Snack (picture 15): Picked the pot rice as it was not available in the other classes to my knowledge. Took an hour to be prepared! This is probably the best Chinese food you could get in the air. (The noodles are good too but too much MSG). Not much burnt rice FYI.
- Lunch (picture 16-18): "Caviar and fine smoked salmon" is probably the best dish in the air. "Truffle potato soup with crispy vegetables" was also good. Picked the "grilled beef tenderloin" but it was overcooked.
- Destination (picture 19): Victoria Harbour from the East side.
- Cabin: Too warm but it could be just me. Dress as thin as possible with the duvet.
- Pajama: Brown with orange trim. Looks OK. I got size Large but it was too big for me. Wish I had asked for a Medium one.
- Schedule: Did what I felt like. I was wide awake at the beginning of the flight so I ate the breakfast. After that the cabin was darkened and I watched movies for a few hours. Then fell asleep for a couple hours (afternoon nap EST) and was wide awake for the remaining of the flight. Had the snack around 2/3 into the flight and the lunch two hours before landing. The cabin was brightened up an hour before landing. I felt tired early at night HKT and woke up early in the morning the following days. This would be OK if I were going to work.

I was in a hurry when I arrived HKG so didn't go to the Arrival Lounge. I am interested how it looks like though. Feel free to ask any question.
