FirstLine Security at MCI - breaks TSA lock and says they won't replace
Wife flew out of Kansas City International Airport (MCI) on Friday and security is done by a contractor, FirstLine. Wife had 1 checked bag that had TSA lock on it. Her bag was opened by FirstLine and they put in a note saying it was inspected and that they are not responsible for breaking the lock to get into the suitcase.
These seems ridiculous that we're out a $15 lock because the TSA decided to contract out to some other company and not give them access to the TSA lock decoder tool to open the TSA locks. How is a traveler supposed to know they cannot use TSA locks at certain airports?
Anybody else ever had this happen? Is there a list somewhere of places we should not use TSA locks?
