Exact Power Adapters Required for Lufthansa Business Class Steats on B747-400

If you're flying Lufthansa business class on a Boeing 747-400, note that you need a power adapter to get a clear electrical connection for your laptop or other electrical device.

Seatguru is wrong when it says the seats are DC power and require a car lighter type of plug. Lufthansa B747-400 seats have a AC power outlet, but the seat does require an adapter.

After tying my many adapters and the bare plug for both my Macbook laptop and a LG DVD video player, the purser gave me this Wonpro WA-9A two-pin adapter, which worked like a charm.

Why? Because the seat designer apparently made the pin length a smidgen too long - most plugs do not have pins long enough to reach the electrical source. The Wonpro pins are just long enough.

The Purser said that they bought Wonpro WA-9A's by the bag, just to hand out to frustrated passengers like me. But I'd suggest you think ahead and buy one before you fly, lest you encounter a less helpful business class staff.
