Well, you've named two of the major benefits -- while not a 3 star restaurant, the dining is a very plesant experience. The food is very good, and the atmosphere is very peaceful. To be at Heathrow and be seated in a quiet dining area like that and eat a solid breakfast with a glass of Champagne while reading the paper is an experience that will never get old to me.
I also really enjoy the balcony. It is an amazing place to sit out with a drink and take in Terminal 5 and the activity outside.
There is no underestimating tranquility, however there are relatively limited seating due to the size. Does anyone find it gets "relatively" busy?
As regards to the restaurant, i'd probably use that and retire to the FLounge afterwards.
The FLounge also has a balcony/terrace.
