Because (according the CO forum) UA will be the acquiring company? I hope that their enthusiasm reflects the greater role for UA in the merger (I know that the crew doesn't care about SWUs, CR1s, E+) but the crews generally are sympathetic to the passengers (at least those of us who are elites).
