I agree! After 2 hours it's a bit rough. And yet I am seeing them pop-up all over the place, including next week on my DEN -> YYZ flight (3 hours!). So I am wondering what's the deal, cost-wise.

These are obviously flown by United Express Shuttle, so I'm just trying to figure out what's up here. Is it cheaper to operate the plans? (Still looking for stats/facts please, anyone have any good sites to read?) Or is it just cheaper to out source to United Express Co?

If the flight range is similar to routes currently taken by A320s I'm just thinking why not make the 170s part of the main fleet.

Just curious. And still hoping to find statistics on how much it costs to fly these things, per seat mile and/or otherwise.
