Assuming this may not be true or happen in the next six months, any other suggestions on how to convert an economy to business class ticket using Aeroplan points? My economy ticket to Chile is being purchased for me by a professional society but I would like to fly business with my husband and use our many Aeroplan points (which have accrued more from shopping than flying so no status here). If a refundable ticket is purchased in my name by a third party, can I redeem for credit with AC and then book the reward tickets myself?
