Welcome to flyertalk!^

Yes you can walk to T1 and go in via the arrivals level and past baggage reclaim to the MGM check in area ( no security checks). I think in the past they did have a person at the exit of baggage claim checking the luggage tags against your bag claim receipt but I do not think it has been done in a number of years)

It is about a 5 min walk from T2 to T1
