TWA was technically "merged" into AA, but it was a well-known fallacy, as TW had not made a profit in 13 years and that TW/AA merger took place in TWA's 3rd bankruptcy.
Wasn't a merger, AA purchased the assets it wanted and didn't assume any of the liabilities.
