The strong strong pull to not let revenue change its mind and walk. All this talk about unintended consequences is too clever by half. And when it comes from corporate top management (not the poster here) it comes across to very frequent flyers as spiteful. I find the new deal, with its risks (flights leapfrogging, for one, which happens anyway), acceptable.
