I agree, especially on international. I have done 7-10 flights with my then 7week to 2 year old as well as my new 1 year old. on legs of 6 hours, i cant imagine lap.

On another note, I noticed that booking on AA.com they charge the departure tax (the full tax) on my infant (usually free) and my child (usually 1/2 off). I never complain cause its only 30 bucks, but still......
