Don't know why you need any extra insurance. You should be covered to the state mandated minimum. You have no assets to protect beyond that. The CDW is worthless because your card will cover you. I think you will be fine with just renting and using your credit card. The rental will include a minimal amount of liability coverage and the card will cover collision.
