We just returned from the Ren Downtown on 9th street and were very pleased with our stay. We actually booked a prepaid rate at $109 which included valet parking, then we upgraded to the lounge floor for an additional $30 per day. The hotel was very conveniently located to the Mall (about a 10 minute walk) and within a few blocks of two metro stops. It was next to Chinatown and within minutes of many restaurants. No, there is not much "atmosphere" but the beds were very comfortable, the room was clean and the staff was very accommodating. The club offerings were adequate but not as expansive as we would have liked. For our rate, however, we felt it was a good deal (especially during cherry blossom week).
