Spending over 10 hours in Y is never fun nowadays.
The statistics about seat pitch, width, recline, etc... seem very similar across airlines because they are all so minimal, but they can make the difference between a miserable flight and an atrocious one. For example, AF recently introduced a 10 abreast seating on all its 777 (used to be 9) and it makes life onboard miserable. Some airlines have worn out seats.

Some airlines have individual screens with AVOD, other no AVOD, some only a main cabin screen (TG). Some provide decent food with free champagne, newspapers and magazine, others.... And we you spend 10+ hours with nothing to do except experience back pains...

Some airlines are reliable and take care of you in case of IROPS, others dont care much about Y pax.

My view, Y is never great, but small differences can make a huge difference in experience.
