And I think that's why she needs to carry her marriage certificate. Immigration won't need it (as the Romanians won't turn away their own citizen and the US authorities will be able to verify from their records that the person named in the passport and the person named on the Green Card are one and the same). The airline may want to see a marriage certificate to make the link between the passport and the Green Card.
