Just checked my boarding passes between LHR / YYZ this weekend (one on AC metal one on CP metal) -- I was upgraded both ways and both passes are marked ML*1 -- the upgrades were definately operational -- base miles but no CoS bonus miles have been posted to my AeroPlan account as expected.

Do we really think AC would be consistent about the use of these codes?
