As of 018:00 today (!)
I phoned ICC 3 times, starting 17 08:45.
First time LAX-ORD ok, ORD-FRA ok, FRA-DUB no (all showing OK on ANA)
Second time LAX-ORD ok, ORD-FRA no, FRA-DUB ok (all showing OK on ANA). Mild panic set in.
Third time LAX-ORD ok, ORD-FRA ok, FRA-DUB no (all showing OK on ANA)
so I decided I couldn't risk losing LAX-ORD/ORD-FRA and booked them, 1st and Bus respectively.
FRA-DUB, however booked won't be a connecting flight but the gap is 2:35. Hopefully FRA is easy to navigate as it's been years since my last visit.

I guess that check-in at ORD won't issue me with a FRA-DUB BP and tag my luggage to DUB but I can try. Both flights are with LH.

I will be consistently phoning the ICC to try and get the FRA-DUB LH4982 as it's only 6750 miles.
