Just had a stay at the Harbour Castle and was a bit disappointed: As a Plat, not only did I not get upgraded, but was misinformed: The front desk told me that there were no more junior suites available, when on the website they were happily selling them for the same night. I was then told that I had at least been upgraded to a "very nice room", which turned out to be a completely regular room, not even on an SPG floor and therefore missing the complimentary water and robe. This makes a joke out of giving me a key sleeve that says "Enjoy! You've been upgraded."

To be fair, the room as such was okay and some water was delivered free of charge when I asked for it.

Now, if only my points had automatically posted as well....

Overall, the hotel had a very large and corporate feel and lacked personal touch. But the location and views on the lake are nice.
