We stayed there for a weekend in February 2005 on points. I didn't bother to ask about an upgrade.
They have a very small bar area with a very small lounge. The rooms are small but typical RC nice. We had a great view of a brick wall from our window. But It's a great location. Plenty of restaurant options within easy walking distance. You can skip the $13 coffee and walk to nearby deli's where 2 people can eat a full breakfast for $13. Carriage rides are right across the street from the front door.
You can expect to see many celebraties during your stay. Cleveland Cavaliers checked in on Saturday afternoon while we were there. Lots of people hanging out by the front door trying to get a glimpse of Labron James. Spotted Ashley Judd checking in with her dog. Also rode the elevator with Edgar Winter.
