Only mid-tier awards are available, which is double what Alaska Airlines and almost double what American and United are offering.
Does Delta really think top level Elite's will continue to fly on them if we can never get a single low-tier award seat for our family traveling without us? Delta is trying to shift the entire system so that low-tier doesn't exist. They think we will all get used to 40K Economy and 80K First Class RT Continental USA tickets, and this will become the new norm. What they don't realize is we will probably burn up more miles if these low-tier seats are available - especially on flights that they know will have empty seats on them. Obviously there will be some empty seats going to/from Florida in August?? Why are the Diamond and Platinum Elite members just sitting by and letting this happen! Where is the UPROAR??
I see 9 days available going and 5 returning in low to MCO. Check a lot, check one way and even start over a lot. It is amazing how quick it changes. I even found 7 seats available on some flights
Good luck.
