I thought that BD was cutting the LHR-TLV route and returning the A330s that make that route so great.

I know that getting two seats on the NZ flight, especially this close to departure, will be tremendously difficult, moreso with UA points as that route is reputed to be one of the most blocked by their StarNet filtering.

And UA only has one 772 with the new config; it is not dedicated to a particular route yet that I am aware of.

I also believe that UA's routing rules are rather restrictive, essentially limiting you to a stopover only at the connecting hubs. That's not necessarily bad, but it is less generous than some other programs.
