Yes, just follow the signs to FLight Connections - should take you downstairs to the connection buses. I've done LHR connections many times, and yes, the FLight Connections area is real!

I believe RJ and DL interline, so RJ should be able to through-check your bags from AMM. Just show them your itinerary at check-in with the DL LHR-JFK flight number.

Yes, 1h 40m should be fine. The bus journey time between LHR T3 and T4 is about 10 minutes. The frequency of these buses has also improved in the past 12 months or so, so you shouldn't have to wait too long for a bus.

RJ won't be able to give you the DL LHR-JFK boarding pass. My advice is to do OLCI for the LHR-JFK flight beforehand on delta.com just in case there are any delays with your RJ flight.

The security line for T4 connections is really not bad at all - I have almost never had to wait. The DL transfer check-in counters are right in front of you after you finish with security. They will send you down to an agent at the last counter to go through the security questions/passport review, after which you can go back to the DL (contractor) agent to get your boarding pass printed.
