When I go overseas, I usually don't bring toothpaste, mouthwash, etc. I stopped when the liquid nonsense began. Instead, I make do with the airline amenity kit for a day and then I buy what I need abroad - it's also fun to explore a foreign grocery store anyway and I do this to also stock up on water, juice and snacks. I travel in premium cabins but once at my destination I go low cost on rooms usually.
