IMHO, all sodapop was better when made solely of sucrose and not corn syrup. Both are sweet, but only sugar tastes good.
Coke's use of corn syrup coincided with the re-introduction of Coca-Cola Classic in 1985 after the Coke II debacle. Prior to Coke's new formula, it contained sugar, not a blend of sugar and corn syrup. Yuck.
There's no going back.
