My renewal is coming up and I will get hit with an $85 annual fee. I spend about $30,000/year and I would be willing to switch to a UA card (and get their sign up mileage).

Does anyone think that AA would waive the fee if I threaten to cancel the card? Any other ways to get out of the fee?
