I rarely turn off my Mac - just shut the lid. Hence when I open it, it immediately searches for wireless networks. Whoops.

iPhone - I turn on flight safe and place it in my pocket. If I am not playing with it during takeoff, it is as good as off.

I would only be concerned if sitting just behind the flightdeck, particularly with mobiles and particularly on an Airbus, but otherwise am not too concerned.
