I am a new Diamond with my first Diamond stay at the Hyatt on the Bund.

The lowest rate was CNY 1950 for a non-river view room and CNY 2150 for a river view room.

It was CNY 100 more for the Awaken Package.

I booked river view with the Awaken so my rate is CNY 2250/night. I am staying for 1 night.

This rate includes breakfast and 4pm check-out.

The way I understand it, as a Diamond, I would get breakfast and internet access anyway. The only thing I am not getting if I didn't take the package is the late check out.

So it seems the only benefit I am getting is late check out and I was planning on leaving the hotel around 1pm anyway so that is not such a big deal if they were not to grant that.

However, it is now within 48 hours of arrival and with a 72 hour cancel policy, I'm not sure they would change the rate back to CNY 2150 anyway.

Is there any benefit for a Diamond to stay on the Awaken package?

Should I have just booked the basic CNY 1950 room and hoped for a river view king or is the fact that I've already booked the river view get me a better upgrade?
