Yeah, thanks for the great responses, cheers.
I had originally thought the 2-class 763s were Hawaii only -- however, came across SEVERAL 2-class on hub hops in the States, for example, an ORD-LAX flight 2433 was showing as only F and Y available -- in fact, quite a number of F and Y 763s showing up. Are these ex-TWA 763s by chance? Flight do not say Oper by TWA or anything, but would seem to be in TWA config. For example:
--------------
American Airlines #2433
From: Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX - DFW International (DFW) To: Los Angeles, CA (LAX)
Departs: 10 Sep 2002 12:50 pm Arrives: 10 Sep 2002 2:08 pm
Miles: 1235
First Class Meal: Lunch
Coach Class Meal: Snack
Aircraft Type: Boeing 767 Wide Body
(6-abreast 2-class according to the seating availability graphic, AB DG HJ)
-----------------
You're right however in that transcons 763s (and 762s) do seem to be 2-1-2 configs with various numbers of rows.
Even the 777 is showing F as six abreast -- isn't this supposed to be 4-across?
---------------
American Airlines #2347
From: Chicago, IL - O'Hare (ORD) To: Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX - DFW International (DFW)
Departs: 25 Aug 2002 5:29 pm Arrives: 25 Aug 2002 7:53 pm
Miles: 802
First Class Meal: Dinner
Aircraft Type: Boeing 777 Jet
(seating availability shows 6-abreast, rows 2-4, AB DG HJ config)
----------------
Don't mind the 738s and 757s -- seats are a bit wider than the S80s in F at least.
Thanks again!
