Kudos? I guess...but, I am sure there is also a commercial reason they are running this flight (i.e., the flight will make a lot of money since it will be full with people going home for the holiday). In the Houston offices, I have a feeling the commercial reasons outweigh CO simply trying to be nice.

If CO doesnt run that 5am flight then they wouldnt beable to run the 91 that Sat night as they wont have any aircraft on the ground. The 91 will be full of both passenegrs and cargo
The 10 will be empty but the cargo hold will be full to the brim, which will take care of the cost of getting the plane over there and teh few passengers on board will give CO alittle extra profit
So if you combine the 10 & the 91 which it returns as , it will be profitable. The 90 usually gets into TLV @ 4:30pm and comes back as the 91 @ 11pm. On 9/18 the 10 will land apx an hour after TLV reopens and be on its way back within 2 hrs
