My post was a one liner as I had psoted other relevant information in an earlier post. What's the fun in having an iPhone, if you cannot use the phone on 3G? My Chinese made GSM quad band $60 dual sim, dual standby phone with NTSC and PAL analogue TV and FM radio is more fun.
If the 3G features if a 3G iPhone acan not be used, the phone is indeed crippled.
Note: I assumed the OP was tlking about a 3G iPhone.
