Hilton Garden Inn San Bernardino {US-CA}
Arrival:
- Ample parking, clean grounds
- Fairly central location. Sizzler across the street; a few restaurants within walking distance, but best to have a car.
- Near freeway, but not so close you can hear it
- New(-ish) hotel
Check-in:
- I'd called ahead to ask about an early check in and was assured "we'll get someone right on it!". When I arrived, my room was ready.
- Efficient and pleasant check in. Diamond status acknowledged.
Facilities:
- Better-than average business center, with some goodies "post its", stapler, envelopes, scissors
- Nice fitness center. Plenty of equipment, mostly quality Precor. Apparently some ability to control temperature. Clean. But...no towels and no way to turn down piped in music that I could find.
- HSIA worked fine.
Room:
- At or above typical HGI standards.
- Microwave, refrigerator, comfy chair, good desk and work chair.
Check out:
- Fast and accurate.
Bummer:
- Breakfast coupon for full breakfast. Sevice was dreadful. I stood around for several minutes before the one guy working acknowledged me. Virtually every table dirty througout my stay. No service at the table; everything was do-it-yourself (coffee, getting bill). Food was adequate, but no better.
