The article wasn't written well, and it was confusing. But it seems that part of the problem was the difference between a reservation and a confirmed e-ticket. My corporate travel agency sends very similar emails for the two cases. When I have a "booking confirmation" it does not mean that I have a ticket. In this case it seems to be an issue of ticketing reissue rather than ticketing issue.
But here is a question. When there is an issue like this, is this or isn't this something that a check-in counter should be able to deal with and solve?
