The last time we had to test our fire alarm system, quite a few guests took the elevators down. If it had been a real fire they would have died screaming "100%! 100%!"
It's really amazing how otherwise intelligent people can lose their minds in an emergency situation! Fire safety 101, which we all had in elementary school, tells us to NEVER take an elevator in a potential fire situation.
