I would concur with the fact that the date tier points are deleted as shown online does NOT equate to the date that the status year ends.

As a previous poster said the online date corresponds to the date on the card that was issued at my last rollover. However, I happen to know that the last time I could see my end of year date it was different to this and I have no reason to suspect it has changed.

As also stated above the card date is deliberately set different to allow time for dispatching a new card. That said though, the card issued to me at the last rollover had only a one month grace period but previously (and subsequently with the new style card replacement) the grace period was/is two months.
