Did you book the one-bedroom category suite category? This suite does not offer the same privacy or space as a FS Sayan suite. The one-bedroom suite at the Chedi Club is not a real suite as it does not offer separate living and sleeping areas. It's really a junior suite with a combined sleeping and living area. It also does not have a private terrace/patio/balcony. They do have a private outdoor bathing area but this area is not meant for lounging. These suites do have a patio but they open up onto a common square courtyard area with each of the four suites taking up each side of the square so it's definitely not private. The suites are located very closely to each other. You have to draw the blinds if you want privacy, otherwise people who walk by your suite can see what you are doing. When relaxing on the patio, other guests will be merely a few meters away and see everything you do. The suites felt like it was about 60 sq meters plus outdoor bathing area.

While these suites are very comfortable, they really lack privacy. If you want privacy, I highly recommend booking the pool villa or spa villa. I did appreciate the complimentary mini bar and laundry service (very useful during a two week trip to Asia). Breakfast in the restaurant was superb. You can order anything off the menu. Outstanding pains au chocolat. Very pleasant views of the rice fields while you while you enjoy your breakfast. Personal butler felt like he really was there to meet all your needs. The service was very personalized.

I stayed at both the Chedi Club and the FS Sayan. While I found the service at the Chedi Club a bit more friendly and warm, I really was blown away by the panaromic views from vaious points within the FS Sayan grounds. We had a riverfront villa at the FS Sayan which was spectacular and very private. The entry level suites have much more privacy than the one-bedroom suite at the Chedi Club.
