We have taken 7 cruises of which 6 were on Regent and another scheduled May 6. Everyone probably evaluates the situation differently but for us I cannot find a good alternative. As previously described, you can certainly tell the Regent crowd compared to say Celebrity cruise people. Any Regent cabins are about like the top 15% on most other ships. But not cheap. I did an analysis a few days ago of various Regent sailings and found the price/day to run about $450/person for a minimum cabin. But it truly is "all inclusive" - most excursions, liquor, etc. Finally, yes we are in the 70 age bracket, and the passengers are older than "fun ships."
