I think the easiest way to do this is to go to the airpport for check in and ask for the same seat but a different FF number on the system. I think if you switch to BA Blue before then you may be in danger of the seat shifters moving you around.

Edit to add - I think you might want to keep doing this on all your flights until you get to Silver.
