Is this really that befuddling?

If it is important to you to fly direct from SFO to any other continent, why do you expect AA to invent flights to do that?

It is like a MIA-based flyer expecting UA to fly to a plethora of other continents from MIA. Not gonna happen (UA's previous century's route structure notwithstanding). Or expecting DL to fly all over Asia from PDX (or all over the US from DFW, for that matter).

Get over it already, and adjust your FF program / loyalty accordingly. :smiley:
